Monique Hoeflinger

Director of Strategy

As the Director of Strategy at 100Kin10, Monique is responsible for developing strategies to fully leverage the organization’s strengths and assets to achieve our goals. She works with our Community Team to design, implement, and continuously improve programs that support meaningful progress against our highest leverage opportunities.

Monique came to 100Kin10 with more than 20 years of experience in social change organizations. Before joining 100Kin10, Monique worked in philanthropy, leading several grantmaking and field-building initiatives focused on ending gender-based violence. Prior to that, Monique spent a decade in the LGBTQ movement, where she served as chief of staff at the National LGBTQ Task Force and was involved in pro-LGBTQ campaigns in states across the country, including leading Maine’s statewide legislative campaign to pass marriage equality. She also served on Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, helping to build an unprecedented national network of LGBTQ activists. Early in her career, Monique worked as a civil rights lawyer focused on mass incarceration and criminal justice reform. Of all her accomplishments, she is most proud of her daughter, Karina, from whom she learns every day.
