Why do you think STEM Education is so important?

My parents are immigrants from Mexico, and through the STEM subjects they were able to support and engage in my education activities. Whether it was supporting me with my math homework or their support with science projects. The STEM fields allowed me to build a stronger bond with them. I also believe STEM education engages students by preparing them with critical thinking, problem solving, and many other skills that can be applied to school, work, and life.
