Associate Director of Community
As Associate Director of Community, Adeline builds out strategy and oversees operations for the Community Team’s work, charting a clear path forward to ensure our network has the support it needs to strengthen STEM education in America.
Adeline’s career has centered on helping individuals and organizations move from abstract vision to concrete action, creating positive impact that benefits us all in the process. She began her career as a community organizer and coalition builder, and has found her niche in leadership development, strategic planning, and civic engagement work within educational spaces. Most recently, she served as the Associate Director of Civic Engagement at Barnard College and as the founder of ideaRISE, a social impact consulting agency that partners with change agents to make their work as effective as possible. She has also developed curriculum and taught as an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Adeline received a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Bridgewater State University and a Master’s degree in social work from Columbia University; she received her LMSW in 2013. She serves as an active organizer in the fight for racial justice and is a steering committee member of the National Association of Social Workers-NYC Chapter’s political action committee. In October 2016, she was recognized by NASW-NYC with the Emerging Social Work Leader Award.
What most inspires you about the 100Kin10 network?
Fundamental to the work of 100Kin10 is the understanding that complex issues require complex solutions - not quick fixes. But that complexity would be hard to achieve without the love of community and commitment to intentional relationship-building that is so deeply felt here at 100Kin10. Those relationships, across industries and throughout the country, allow us to co-create solutions that are nuanced, visionary, achievable, and that truly represent the best of our network.
